Flexible, Personalized Physics Tutoring
for College Students

The road to confidence, meeting you where you are.

Hi! I'm Chris, a physics tutor for college students.

Physics is known for being a very difficult subject, but it doesn't have to be. As a tutor, I strive to be patient, encouraging, and meet each student where they are. I employ the Socratic Method, guiding you with questions so that you can learn to trust in your own ability to come to the correct conclusions.

I have a Master's degree in physics from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and 7 cumulative years of experience tutoring Physics 1 and 2, Electricity & Magnetism, Quantum Physics, Special Relativity, and related courses. In graduate school, I led discussion sessions for Physics and labs for Astronomy. I have a broad understanding of physics as a whole and the language of mathematics that describes it.

In my free time, I pursue creative passions including writing a sci-fi novel, maintaining several YouTube channels, and studying narrative storytelling in video games. To me, it’s all part of the same thing, the endeavor to understand this incredible universe we find ourselves in!

I offer flexible online tutoring sessions every day of the week. Whether you’re looking for supplemental lessons, studying for a test, or just fascinated with the subject, send me a message. I would be delighted to help you take your understanding to the next level!

Rates and Policies

Rate

At present, I charge $70 per hour, due before the session begins. Same-day lessons are $105 per hour. For new students, I offer a 15-minute free consultation to determine whether we are a good fit.

Payment

Students must pay for tutoring hours in advance. The student's remaining hours will be provided after each session. Upon termination of tutoring service, unused balance will be refunded. I use Venmo to collect payments.

Cancellation

Tutoring needs can be unpredictable. Therefore, I offer a generous cancellation policy of 4 hours. Sessions canceled prior to 4 hours before the scheduled time will be refunded in full. Sessions canceled or rescheduled within 4 hours before the scheduled time will be charged, and clients will be required to pay for the cancelled or rescheduled session before the next session if they have not done so already. If the student does not show up to a meeting within 15 minutes after the scheduled time, it will be considered a no-show and its payment will not be refunded.

Academic Integrity

Education is a means to empower ourselves to be competent, knowledgeable, and responsible. A good grade should be a reflection of accomplishing this goal, not the goal itself.

To comply with these values, I will not perform the following services:

-Doing your assignments for you.

-Assisting during exams.

There is no substitute for putting in the effort to understand and apply the materials of the course.

Privacy

Any information provided by the student or client will be kept confidential and will not be shared except with the owner's permission or legal compliance.
